That*Darn*Kat, Round Neck Top for Girls!

I love the Round Neck pattern from That*Darn*Kat. It comes with sizes 2T to 7 and 16 pages of over 50 photographs. The templates for the pattern were made in a smart way so you do not have to tape 8.5"X 11" sheets of paper together. If I have two half yards in my house they are in danger of becoming more Round Neck Tops for my daughters. My daughters love them!!!!
I get asked all of the time what are e-book patterns?? Why do you like them so much?? Well, e-book patterns are wonderful!! They are patterns with photos of the project so you can clearly see what to do in each step. The templates of the pattern can be printed, using your on printer and computer when ever you like and you can even print it on card stock if you know that you will be making a lot of them, so cutting the pattern with your rotary cutter is easier. You can organize them easier by just creating a folder for your e-book patterns on your desktop. If you have not tried an e-book pattern try one!!! You will want every pattern in e-book form once you try it:)

I'm addicted to e-patterns. In fact, I don't care how ADORABLE an outfit may be, if it's not available electronically I don't use it!! Loving the Eiffel tower top - cute!

Sweet Coin Purse Tutorial for Teacher Gifts

This time of year is so special to me because I get to show my gratitude for all of the hard work that goes into teaching my daughters. I love to make handmade gifts and this year is no exception. Since money does not grow on trees around here, I looked at my stash (I keep my scraps in hat boxes ) and tried to see what I had a lot of; small zippers, trims, Peltex strips ( from making iPad cases ), fabric scraps and some hardware for key fobs. So I set to work.  Materials: Plastic multipurpose 5" Zipper  Fabric Scraps Lightweight interfacing 808 Pellon Trims (We clipped  key fobs  with 1.5" swivel hooks onto our coin purses . There are tons of tutorials on making key fobs .) Step 1: Print out the Coin Purse Template  PDF.  Cut 2 main fabric, cut 2 lining and 2 interfacing using the template.  Optional: Cut a 2"X2" square of your choice main fabric or lining.
